GOLDEN TONG AWARD NIGHT
PEACE ARCH STAMP CLUB ……. JUNE 3rd 2012
Tonight we are having a very special presentation award to several club member.
Our club started in 1989 as the WHITE ROCK STAMP CLUB with 8 present.
We have the honour tonight to present two of those CHARTER MEMBERS with
“THE PEACE ARCH STAMP CLUB “ GOLDEN TONG MEMENTO",for their long
term Membership.
1.Mr. ALFRED BENNETT 1989 23 YEARS MEMBERSHIP.….. charter member
2.Mrs. MAXINE CORFEE 1989 23 YEARS MEMBERSHIP……charter member
Also we would like to honour other fellow members with their long term membership.
3.Mr. RICHARD HUTTL 1990 - 22 YEARS MEMBERSHIP
4.MR. BOB PICKELL 1990 - 22 YEARS MEMBERSHIP
5.MRS. FREDA PALMER 1991 - 21 YEARS MEMBERSHIP

We would like to present an award to our past president who was also our
secretary and treasurer and who has stepped up many times in the past to assist
this club with his many talents.

Mr Alfred Bennett , charter member of the White Rock Stamp Club [now the PEACE ARCH STAMP CLUB] who held many executive positions, was recognized for his long term service and contributions to the club.
Alfred was presented with a framed certificate and life membership.
Mr. Bill Carracher who has served in many executive positions[President, Treasurer and Secretary] was presented a framed certificate and life time membership in recognition for his service to the club.

The Peace Arch Stamp Club, participated in the Surrey- Cloverdale Community Collectors
event. We enjoyed show casing our great hobby and gained several new club members.

Steve has been our President for 15 years. He is a collector of postcards and as such has an amazing knowledge of this collecting speciality. Under Steve's leadership he has seen the club grow in membership and has helped established it as a valuable source of knowledge to collectors in this region. Steve has been instrumental in establishing many new and fun events for our club.

City Centre Library turns 5!
Saturday, October 1, 11:00 to 3:00, to mark this special occasion. There will be special guests, crafts and activities for all ages.
SURREY CENTRE MAIN LIBRARY CELEBRATION
The PEACE ARCH STAMP CLUB was requested to attend this celebration as one of the Premier collecting clubs in the region.
Doreen and Terry Leishman represented the club and handed out club information and free stamp packets to many individuals that past by our booth.

North Shore Coin,Stamp & Collectible show

The PEACE ARCH STAMP CLUB attended our first North Shore Coin,Stamp and Collectible show at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre. This show was very well received by the lower mainland hobbyists. The Club's table was attended by Doreen and Terry Leishman, who gave out complementary packs of stamps,waterless Canadian stamp tattoos and Bottle cap stamp fridge magnets.
Two other local stamp clubs were in attendance and we each exchanged give aways to hand out to attendees.
